Minger rushed for a oneyard touchdown in the first quarter, and threw a 73-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Kody Bell in the third quarter. It was the third touchdown of the game for Goodson, who also had touchdown runs of one and three yards.

In a losing effort, Collinwood senior quarterback Va Shonne Hemingway rushed for a 40-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Cleveland JFK improves to 3-5 (3-2 Senate) and travels to John Hay on Oct. 20. Collinwood drops to 1-6 (14 Senate) and travels to Lincoln West on Oct. 20.

This game started off slow, but was a second-half battle. Mayfield (4-4, 2-3) got on the board first with a 37-yard field goal late in the first quarter. North (4-4, 3-2) took the lead on a touchdown pass from Jake Tanski to Kenny Streb from 14 yards out midway through the second quarter, with Tanski's run on the two-point conversion for an 8-2 lead. The drive went an impressive 10 plays, 80 yards. Streb caught five balls for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

A 21-yard touchdown pass by Mayfield made it 9-8 after a missed extra point. North came back with a 25-yard field goal to take an 11-9 lead right before the half. Brett Payne scored on a fiveyard touchdown to give North a 19-9 lead after another Tanski two-point conversion. Mayfield closed to 19-16 after Bobby Casey caught a 23-yard pass from Michael Huss. Casey finished with 126 yards receiving and a touchdown on seven catches for Mayfield.

The Rangers scored twice more on touchdowns from Streb and Payne to put the game out of reach. Eastlake North travels to play Madison next week, while Mayfield travels to Centennial.
