  📌 Delighted and grateful to Research Quality Association (RQA) for the opportunity to present the topic 𝐞𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 - 𝐀 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 at the #RQA2024 International QA Virtual Conference.Informed consent/eConsent is one of the most important processes between the participant (or legally authorised representative) and the investigator (or other qualified study staff) that should be completed before any study-related procedures are carried out.There are multiple different eConsent models (no one-size-fits-all). eConsent process should be conducted in conjunction with the regulatory requirements and recommendations, aligning with the needs of the particular stakeholders (sponsors, participants, sites, etc.). eConsent needs to be designed in line with the value perspective (𝐅𝐢𝐭-𝐟𝐨𝐫-𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞).   I've just finished delivering a lunchtime Mental Wellbeing and Neuroinclusion in the workplace session with the Research Quality Association (RQA) for their virtual conference today, thanks so much for moderating me Carl Lummis-Blaxell and to those who joined me 🙏. I wanted to share a word cloud that came from the session today highlighting what psychological safety means to the individuals that attended.Just look at the 4 big words in the middle:- Understanding- No judgement- Respect- AcceptanceAren't these all fundamental human needs of self esteem and self actualisation, isn't this what we all really desire when we go to work? (google Maslow for more on this)The things I hear the most from people who share with me are:- People don't understand me- I feel I'm being judged- I don't feel respected in my role- I don't feel like I belongWhen people share these aspects with you what they are unconsciously saying to you is: "I do not feel safe".That is why above all other things psychological safety is the most important aspect for establishing a supportive working environment for your team, and happy and resilient team members and colleagues.What are your thoughts?   The calm before the storm. All set up at ready to welcome everyone attending #RQA24 tomorrow and Wednesday. We couldn't put on this event without our faculty and appreciate all the effort everyone has put in - including everyone in the RQA office for being flexible and ready for any eventuality (let's hope for an uneventful one!!)
