About The Position A corrections facility is seeking a family medicine nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage. Exploring the historic streets of Colonial Williamsburg, soaking up the sun on the sandy shores of Virginia Beach, and immersing oneself in the vibrant arts scene of Richmond are just a few of the fun things to do in Virginia while on assignment. The position has a credentialing timeframe of 10 days from when the application is submitted. The position requires drug testing, followed by online training once cleared, which may be done onsite or beforehand depending on the site. The position offers 40 hours a week, which can be scheduled as 4/10-hour shifts. There's no call or weekend duty. The patient population primarily consists of adults, with a focus on women. The EMR system is paper-based, but the facility uses Sapphire for prescriptions. Candidates must possess a valid VA license and VA DEA certification. Dates Needed:
